Sometimes things happen in life that seem bad at the time but they turn out for good - like a happy accident. Jesus can use those moments in our life where things just seem like they couldn't possibly get worse and he brings us up out of those times to show us that all things work together for good. Our lives are lived both on purpose and haphazardly and those qualities are definitely reflected in our artwork.Nataliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17175106773453711033noreply@blogger.comBlogger3125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998273047096211338.post-36256766360966150722012-12-04T13:07:00.002-08:002012-12-04T13:07:41.044-08:00Update from IdahoIt's been a while since this blog had some activity. Joel and I are each working on separate small projects in the massive amounts of spare time that student teaching has left us.

Here are some of the things that I've created since our last update:

This is a textured grid drawing. Sharpie on sketch paper. It looks cooler in real life...the camera just doesn't do it justice.

One of my students brought in a ukulele and asked me to paint a tree on the back. I obliged.

First I need to Apologize to Natalie for erasing much of her original post. Sometimes I'm dumb when I try to learn new things! Please forgive me friend.

Moving forward...

Check back periodically for new stuff and I'm sure exciting revelations as we both begin Student Teaching a Nation apart! The differences between Texas and Idaho I'm sure will be drastic and enlightening. We look forward to the future and hope you can enjoy what we get to do everyday, right alongside us!Holmes Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11904155454375514537noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4998273047096211338.post-70934050313791182662011-12-05T20:57:00.000-08:002012-07-18T02:05:49.472-07:00Why Haphazard? Our artwork is born out of our deep faith in our Creator, Jesus Christ. Sometimes things happen in life that seem bad at the time but they turn out for good - like a happy accident. Jesus can use those moments in our life where things just seem like they couldn't possibly get worse and he brings us up out of those times to show us that all things work together for good. Our lives are lived both on purpose and haphazardly and those qualities definitely reflect in our artwork. We design things on purpose, but there will always be those haphazard little things that you find just add to the experience.Nataliehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17175106773453711033noreply@blogger.com0
